📢PRESS RELEASE: National reimbursement negotiations for Carvykti® terminated without agreement, devastating Canadians with myeloma
Dear community,
The following is a press release issued by Myeloma Canada in the wake of learning that the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA) has terminated reimbursement negotiations – without agreement – for Carvykti®, an extremely promising new CAR T-cell therapy for myeloma patients.
This issue will be an ongoing campaign and is not likely to be resolved in the short term as reimbursement negotiations are very complex. Rest assured we are doing all we can to urge all parties to resume talks so that Canadians will have access to Carvykti®. We will share any news or information as it becomes available.
We understand that many of you will want to get involved and help out. We thank you in advance and assure you that we will indeed need your assistance as soon as we have the appropriate and strategic tools ready for you. Please be patient as this is a very sensitive issue that requires strategic planning and execution to be its most effective.
In the meantime, should you have any questions, please send them to [email protected] and indicate Carvykti in the subject line.
Thank you,
Myeloma Canada
